A series of white painted metal enclosures having a removable flanged cover with integral lock assembly. The enclosures accommodate a family of modules that provide distribution of video, telephone, data, etc., as well as modules for security and home management systems.

All enclosures are 14.25" wide and 4" deep. They can be recess mounted between adjacent 16" on-center studs or surface mounted on a plywood or other suitable backboard. There are numerous large cable entry holes, plus knockouts for additional entry points, in the top and bottom as well as the back, allowing all cables to be hidden behind the wall. The enclosure comes with a set of plastic grommets and plugs to protect cables and cover unused holes. Cables tie holders are provided along both side walls of the enclosure. They accept the Velcro cable ties described below, which help organize and manage the cables inside the enclosure.

All modules "snap" into the unique TRI-RAIL mounting system (patent pending) inside the enclosure. The system allows for installation of both full-width and half-width modules. This arrangement provides flexible configurations and ease of replacement for repair or for system upgrades. Together, the enclosure and modules compromise the OnQ Service Center.

The matching white painted metal cover has "AMP" embossed in the lower right corner, and the OnQ logo silkscreened at the top left hand corner. When the enclosure is recess mounted, this flanged cover hides the rough edges of the drywall opening, further enhancing the appearance of the installation.
