Comdial Scout

Scout is a wireless multi-line LCD telephone with Digital spread spectrum technology for sound clarity and stability. Scout combines total portability with the sophistication of a fully featured office phone. Scout phones offer an LCD display, multi-line access, programmable keys, an intercom, and head-set convenience. Scout allows users to roam freely within their business environments and still receive or place calls on multiple lines, transfer calls, place calls on hold, intercom and much more. Scout works with Comdial's DXP and Impact digital systems.

The Scout telephone's functions are modeled after Comdial's popular Impact series of desk telephones, but it incorporates obvious (and convenient) differences to support on-site mobile communications.

The phone consists of a base unit and a wireless handset. The handset is attractive, light-weight, and durable. It has a 2x10 LCD panel, four programmable function keys, a high-quality speaker, and a volume level adjuster. Some of its telephone features are hold, conferencing, message waiting, and up to 20 speed dials.

The Scout's 900MHz spread-spectrum transmission technology means that communications with the handset are fully digital, secure, and highly immune to noise and interference. The Scout manages its battery power intelligently by transmitting at different power levels depending on the user's range from the base station. With the optional headset, phone users who can walk around the premises can work with their hands free, too.

The Scout is perfect for the person who has a great need to communicate, who can't be tied to the desk, and who requires a telephone with more advanced functions.
